I am the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in Artificial Intelligence at DT Services & Consulting, where I lead BRAIN — the Belgian Research lab for AI in INdustry. 

My role focuses on managing applied AI research for business-relevant challenges, bridging the gap between academic innovation and industrial implementation.

My expertise spans Artificial Intelligence, nano-materials simulation, high performance computing and quantum computing, with a strong focus on deploying advanced technologies in real-world domains such as energy materials design, railways and explainable AI.

I earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Liège (Belgium) in the group of Mathieu Verstraete, where I co-authored pioneering work on spin-wave dynamics in magnetic materials. I continued my academic career as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Basel (Switzerland), working in the group of Anatole von Lilienfeld as part of the MARVEL NCCR initiative. In recognition of my interdisciplinary background, I was invited as a fellow at UCLA’s IPAM for the long program on Complex High Dimensional Energy Landscapes.

Professionally, I have held the role of Machine Learning Scientist at Toyota, and I am the founder of Atomistic Modelling, a platform dedicated to accelerating materials research and design through AI and atomistic simulation tools.
